I recently collaborated with Northern Maple Designs to bring you a hair tutorial on ‘How To Wear Your Hair Scrunchies Four Different Ways’. I was very excited to do this tutorial as I too, struggle with styling my hair. So I created a tutorial that is easy and simple for the everyday woman!
Let’s dive in!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Brush & Comb
- Hair Elastics
- Hair Scrunchies
This one is easy if you know how to do braids! Section your hair into three parts and start braiding to the end. If you have fine hair, you may need to secure your hair with a clear elastic first and then tie with a hair scrunchie. The last step is to pull sections of the braid out to make it fuller. Refer to the fourth picture for demonstration. Now you have a beautiful look for the office, working out or pair with a casual outfit!
HALF-UP TOP BUN
The half-up top bun is one of the trendy hairstyles you see everywhere. Now, just paired with a hair scrunchie! The first step is sectioning your hair, however, this can be different depending on how thick your hair is. I have finer hair so I like to grab a bit more to add thickness to my top bun. After sectioning, twist the hair in a bun and secure with a hair scrunchie. Fluff out as needed! This is a gorgeous casual look for going out or at the office!
I swear Amber Fillerup invented and perfected this look! Start by section your hair as pictured and securing with a hair elastic. While holding onto the hair elastic in your hair, tug on the hair upwards to create volume and tighten the hair elastic once finished. Section the secured pony into three and start braiding. Tie with an elastic first if your hair is thin and then tie with a scrunchie. The last step is to pull sections of the braid out to make it fuller. Refer to the fourth picture for demonstration. I love that it is classy and simple enough to wear to a wedding or party! Northern Maple Designs has white scrunchies as well!
HALF TWIST PONYTAIL
This one isn’t as complicated as it seems and it’s quite fun to do! Start by taking a section of your hair in the front (refer to the first picture) and twist it towards the back. Do the same for the other side and secure with a hair elastic. Pull areas of the twist to make it fuller. The last step is to pull your hair into a pony and secure with a hair scrunchie. This is a perfect look for Summer!
